On November 19, the National Building Museum opened an exhibit entitled "Unbuilt Washington." The show explores proposals, both past and present, that would have dramatically altered the architectural character of Washington DC. The show includes historic drawings by Benjamin Henry Latrobe and Thomas Jefferson, as well as models from Frank Gehry and Morphosis. Studio Twenty Seven Architecture's proposal for reinvigorating the southwest quadrant of Washington DC is included in the show.

Studio Twenty Seven Architecture is renovating the office building at Sixteenth and K Streets NW in Washington, DC.  When it opened in 1950, the building was the world headquarters of Pan American Airlines.  Currently a contributing structure to the downtown historic district, Studio Twenty Seven rents the corner office on the top floor.  The renovations will carry the "golden age of air travel" inspired detailing found in the main lobby throughout the entire building.
