This research project involved designing a row house that could become a prototype for modern sustainable urban living. The design examines the relationship between continuity and change. The organizational strategy for the house juxtaposes the most static (storage) and most dynamic (passage) elements of the house, to create an in-between space for living. The storage and passage elements function as the infrastructure for the house; the other programmatic spaces of the house are bathing, sleeping, eating, working, and socializing.
