Ferebee-Hope Campus Redevelopment
The KIPP Legacy College Preparatory is founded with the guiding principles of Learn, Live, and Lead. The new high school is a part of large redevelopment site in Washington Highlands bounded by Yuma Street, Condon Terrace and 8th Streets SE and replaces the existing Ferebee-Hope Elementary School as well as the existing recreation center. The staff and teachers of KIPP DC Legacy College Preparatory seek to nurture and celebrate every student and family while preparing the scholars for college, careers, and choice-filled lives. A new baseball field, community garden and other spaces for community gathering and services will be available. The newly christened school is scheduled to open in spring of 2022.
