Studio Twenty Seven Architecture is hiring an Architectural Physical Model Builder. A successful applicant would demonstrate the abilities listed below and have 0-5 years of experience.  Applicant should share our passion in using architecture as a means to express ideas through model building that are relevant to our clients, their needs, and programs. The studio has received more than sixty design awards for excellence from local, regional, and the national chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Creativity and strong conceptual problem-solving abilities
  • Lucid graphic, verbal, and writing skills
  • Excellent project planning and organizational habits
  • Deftness in fabrication with detailed precision of scaled models
  • Bachelor’s in Architecture, Architecture Technology, Fine Art, related field, or comparable work experience required.
  • A toolbox of professional software skills paired with experience in current digital fabrication machinery and traditional methods.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist team during development stages and lead model fabrication and presentations 
  • Collaborate with design team to ensure clarity and quality of concept is maintained through model fabrication
  • Collaboration with vendors and provide training and mentorship to team
  • Management of budget, material stock, and workflow efficiency.
