Bethan Llewellyn-Yen, RA

Bethan Llewellyn‑Yen, RA, LEED AP, is a project architect and designer with Studio Twenty Seven Architecture. Bethan holds a Master of Arts in Housing & Urbanism from the Architectural Association School of Architecture and a Bachelor of Architecture from the Pennsylvania State University. She started her career at S27 in 2004, completing a number of award-winning projects of varying scale and type. With the past ten years being split between academia and a residential practice, her work has utilized multi-scalar design reasoning to approach cross-disciplinary projects and research. Bethan is a faculty associate at the Catholic University of America, teaching architectural studios at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, as well as seminars entitled “Design Process and Methods,” “The Architecture of the InFORMal” and “Architecture and Global Urbanization.” Bringing her design skills and holistic view of project development and delivery, Bethan rejoined the firm in 2019.
